One of the new features in Camtasia 2021 is the ability to save a project as a Standalone Project.
A Standalone Project is a project that contains all the files that you’ve used for your project.
That is, the files in the media bin are included in the standalone folder, or the project so that you don’t end up losing or getting the error of file missing, can’t locate at the file, etc.
So, to save your files as a Standalone Project, once you’re done making your edits, all you need to do is just come up to file, click on Save as just the normal way that we save our files.
But once you’re inside this particular section, and also to the folder that you want to save your files, you’ll notice that under File name, and save as type, there’s an option to select or Create a standalone project.
Click on that and click on Save.
Now, do you want to save this –it already exists as a tscproj.
And this is just a project the normal project we’re used to, but we want to create a standalone project.
Say, yes!
Now once we save that, if we navigate to the folder with the tscproj, this one you’ll notice that unlike other files that we work with, this one looks more or less like a zip file.
And if I just double click on it, you’ll notice that it has other files inside and also the TechSmith project that we are working on right now.
So that is how you can save your Camtasia projects in 2021 as a Standalone Project.
