If you have Filmora X, then you can record your screen using the inbuilt screen recorder in Filmora X.

In this video, I’ll walk you step by step, how to configure the screen recorder, record your webcam, and everything in between.

Hi, my name is David, and welcome to this Filmora X tutorial. Let’s begin.

So I’m inside Filmora –Wondershare Filmora X.

And this is the interface that you get once the blank project is open.

But all we want to do is record our screen.

So what you need to do is just come up to this particular section. And from this section, you can record your webcam, record your PC, or record a voiceover.

But let’s just click on record PC.

So once we click on that, it’s going to fade out everything and you’ll get this particular interface.

By default, it’s going to record the full screen of your computer.

If you want to make any adjustments, you can use this particular section to either set a custom or target window.

That is really dependent on what you want.

Let’s say we want to record the full screen.

Next up, you’ll need to configure your microphone and the speakers.

For example, if I configure the speakers, this shows my Focusrite USB audio, or my default computer speakers.

Let’s go with Focusrite, and that’s for the headset.

And then we have the microphone, you can select depending on which microphone you’re going to be using.

I’ll go for the analog 1+2 Focusrite USB, and I’ll click on that.

You can navigate to other settings down here.

And if we click on that, you’ll have the option to define where you want your file to be saved, the framerate that you want to record the particular video in.

It’s at 25 frames per second.

The quality, you want to go for the best.

Record timer.

So you can set a timer to stop recording after 23 hours, two hours, whatever you want.

Let’s say you want to just set the record to keep recording once you’re gone/

Let’s say you wanted to record a webinar, or maybe a video that was live streaming, you can use Wondershare screen recorder to do that.

If you want to include mouse clicks, you can also you have that available and there are a couple of options that you can use.

And you can also play the mouse click.

And then there are some hotkeys to pause or resume, start and stop.

So to start, you’ll need to press F9. And to stop you need to press f9 as well.

Now, let’s say we want to record our webcam.

So I’ll just check that box, record the camera stream. And that’s my webcam.

Forgive the poor camera and the poor lighting, but you get what it looks like.

And you can select from here, whatever camera that you’re using.

So this is the HP wide vision HD camera.

Now, before you start recording your screen, ensure that you position your webcam where you want it to appear on the video.

For example, since this particular webcam is here, if you start your screen recording right off when the webcam is at this position, then it’s going to be available at that position throughout the video.

So what you can do is just click on this particular webcam, feed that is and drag it to where you want it to be.

And then you can just use the handles at the edge.

And it’s going to be minimized into a good ratio that you can work with and avoid obscuring any information that you might want to share with people.

And once you satisfied with that, you can begin recording.

So you’re going to get this countdown. Prepare to record.

Let’s say you just wanted to show people how –what news are going on or you just wanted to talk about what type of content is going on, or even just walk somebody through a particular software.

That is how you can do it using wondershare screen recorder.

It’s pretty easy and fast. Pretty awesome.

And once you’re satisfied with the results, just press on F9.

Once you press on f9 you can just minimize this.

And here’s your recording, you can just drag and drop it inside the timeline here.

Just say match, match to media. Here’s your webcam.

And if you just scroll the playhead, you’ll see that your webcam appears at the bottom with the other rest of the content appearing where you want it to appear.

So that’s it.

That’s how you can use the inbuilt screen recorder in Wondershare Filmora X to record your screen, tutorials or even webinars that you might want to watch later on.
